Currently, the UAACI has a formal contract with QP2 Inc to provide comprehensive assistance to a couple with a visual impairment who own and operate a massage clinic. The primary objective of this partnership is to ensure that the clinic meets all government regulations and licensing requirements, which is essential for its long-term sustainability. Previously, the local government had made special allowances for the couple, permitting them to operate the business even though it did not yet fully comply with all legal stipulations. However, as regulations have become stricter and in order for the clinic to be eligible for government grants, low-interest loans, and private financing, full legal compliance is now mandatory.

Through this initiative, UAACI is not only supplying the necessary funding to cover regulatory costs, such as permits, licenses, and facility upgrades, but is also facilitating access to professional management training for the couple. This training is designed to equip them with essential business skills, including financial management, marketing, customer service, and compliance with health and safety standards. By supporting the couple in both legal and managerial aspects, the program aims to empower them to run a fully compliant, successful, and sustainable business. Furthermore, this intervention serves as a model for how targeted support can enable persons with disabilities to overcome structural barriers, achieve economic independence, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
