Gave sadness, happiness for a while,

Setting in the sad wind,
I needed a friend,
You wanted to be one for a time,
I knew your friendly touch,
Would end, like a sad poet’s rhyme.

Professional Biography
The artist known as 379bumps derives his unique name from a deeply personal childhood history. Growing up as the seventh brother in a lively family of nine siblings, he was affectionately nicknamed "Bumps" by his older brothers (five and six) and his younger brother (eight) due to his frequent, clumsy childhood tumbles. While his brothers and sister all mastered musical instruments, Bumps found his own creative voice through the written word, dedicating himself to poetry since the tender age of eight. Today, he has bridged the gap between his literary roots and the musical legacy of his family by utilizing Suno AI to seamlessly transform his lifelong poems into powerful song lyrics. Though his brothers—the third, fifth, sixth, and eighth—have sadly passed away, their spirits and memory remain a vital, living part of the art and identity of 379bumps.
Born into a large Jamaican American family as the eighth of nine children, the writer faced immense challenges from the very beginning of his life. He was born with cerebral palsy, a physical condition that made daily life difficult. Because his family struggled heavily with financial hardships, they simply did not have the money or resources required to give him the specialized care he needed. As a result, a heartbreaking decision was made, and he was sent to live in a specialized Hospital for the Disabled when he was just seven years old. He would go on to spend a full decade of his childhood and adolescence inside the facility, finally leaving the institution when he was seventeen.
Life inside the hospital was a complex mix of external care and deep internal suffering. The hospital staff worked hard to create a genuinely loving and supportive environment for the residents. They provided the children with multiple exciting activities and outings, taking them to the movies, the shopping mall, summer camp, fishing trips, and bowling alleys. The kids even had the rare opportunity to travel by airplane multiple times. Yet, despite these adventures, the writer was trapped in a state of profound loneliness. He was highly intelligent and sharp-minded, but the other disabled children around him did not share his cognitive abilities. This intellectual divide left him feeling completely isolated, with no peers who could truly understand his thoughts or converse on his level.
Deep down, the writer carried a heavy burden of resentment and anger. He hated being disabled and deeply disliked the unfair limitations his body placed on him. This ongoing pain caused him to turn away from religion, fueling a strong dislike toward God for allowing him to suffer. To cope with his intense isolation and anger, he turned to his bright mind and began writing multiple poems to express his hidden feelings.
